Bio


Born in Salt Lake City; attended East High School and the University of Utah (B.A. in History; M.A. in History). South German (Stuttgart) Mission (1960-1963). Ph.D. in Medieval History -- Univ. of Iowa (Jan. 1972). Research fellowship 1970/71, 1978/79 (German Academic Exchange Service/DAAD). Teaching: Coe College (Cedar Rapids, Iowa), Wisconsin State University -- Superior, University of Iowa, Brigham Young University. Books and articles published in German and English, in UK, USA, Italy and Germany. Recipient at BYU of Alcuin GE Teaching Award and Virginia Cutler Family Studies Lecture Award.
