Biography

Dr. Hailey Holmgren is an Assistant Professor of Family Life at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. She received her Ph.D. in Family Social Science from the University of Minnesota. Hailey has published 35 peer-reviewed articles and is an Associate Editor for Frontiers in Psychology: Media Psychology.

Research Interests

Her research focuses on family media use, including (a) how maternal mental health, parenting stress, and media habits shape family functioning, and (b) how parent-child communication and media use patterns influence relationship closeness and emotional well-being. She uses longitudinal and person-centered quantitative methods to identify meaningful patterns in family dynamics and to better understand how media behaviors operate within and affect the family system.
