Biography

Nancy is a native San Diegan and raised her own family of four daughters with her first husband there. Following his passing in 2006, she moved to Utah and attended BYU Provo as a non-traditional student graduating in 2010 with a BS in Marriage, Family & Human Development, minoring in Gerontology. She completed her MS in Gerontology with an emphasis in education at the University of Utah in 2013. Nancy was the State of Utah Program Manager for the National Family Caregiver Support Program from 2014-2021 and has taught SFL 334 as an adjunct professor since 2017. She remarried in 2015 and will be serving with her current husband in the Adriatic North Mission as a senior missionary couple beginning in January 2023.

Research Interests

Gerontology-related topics including Alzheimer's disease and related dementias, family caregiving, older adults, and ageism.
